The Warwickshire Cup Final for 2024/25 was played on Saturday 31st May at Copt Heath Golf Club.
The teams from Ladbrook Park Golf Club and Robin Hood Golf Club would battle out the final to see who would lift the trophy.
Three matches of scratch foursomes would decide the final.
In Match 1 Gary Skipp and Luke Burgess from Robin Hood would take on Ed Hull and Louis Taylor from Ladbrook Park. Close all the way round it was Ladbrook who would hold a 1 up lead playing the 18th. Ladbrook would find a fairway bunker off the tee and par 4 would be enough for Robin Hood to secure the half.
Match 2 was Richard Humphries and Oliver West for Robin Hood against Aaron Brown and Tim Davis. Robin Hood would take an early lead and they would never lose their grip on this game, eventually running out 4 & 3 winners.
With Ladbrook needing to win the last match Tim Cooley and Mark Jameson for Ladbrook would find themselves 1 down on the 17th against Matt Bradley and Sam Price. Ladbrook would win the 17th to keep their hopes alive but found the fairway bunker off the 18th tee again, allowing Matt and Sam to win the last and seal the trophy and the match 1up.
Thank you to Copt Heath for hosting and to all the spectators supporting both teams which made this final unique. We aim continue to host this event on a Saturday afternoon going forwards in the hope the atmosphere can be repeated.
