The final of the Warwickshire Cup took place on Sunday 14th June at The Warwickshire Golf Club between Harborne GC and Olton GC.

The weather was calm and the golf course well presented which gave rise to some competitive golf being played. There were a fair number of supporters especially for Olton and all commented on how good the course looked.

Olton came out of the blocks quickly with early leads being taken in both the first and third matches whilst the middle game was keenly contested.

At the turn Olton led in matches one and three by 5 up and 3 up respectively whilst the middle match was still anybody's with Olton one up.

Match one ended early with Olton winning 5and 4 and with the third match also being 5 up with 5 to play the game looked to be up though the middle match was still anyone's.

Olton contrived to gift a couple of holes back to Harborne in the last match and at one point it looked like neither side wanted to win.

A declared lost ball on 16 by Harborne when it had in fact been found finally ended that match 4 and 2 in Olton's favour and in the end the middle match was also won by Olton giving them an overall 3-0 victory.
